Mission
I believe to live your healthiest life, having an outlet to ask questions to someone with a similar perspective is crucial! Decimos was created to empower teens like myself who are learning to deal with day-to-day challenges as we grow. The purpose of this project is to provide a safe, anonymous space for teens to access assistance with academic, social, mental, and emotional health questions.
Why "Decimos"?
In Spanish, "Decimos" means, most simply, "we say." The name is a fun integration of my own Latina heritage. This organization's goal is to empower teens to be able to speak their minds and collectively erase the stigma around mental-emotional growth and education together.
How does Decimos Benefit Me?
By listening to episodes, reading summaries, or entering a question into the Q&A section, Decimos can help you tackle the biggest issues in your life anonymously and help you grow mentally and emotionally. Many teens need a perspective from someone of the same background, whether that be racial, ethnic, or sexual orientation. I will invite guest speakers to episodes and interview guest speakers (including teen ambassadors) to provide a different perspective that can connect to anyone on Decimos. Through the Q&A portion, users can also request an episode or written short answer about something pertaining to a certain identity.
